Video: Austin Dillon Cuts Tire, Jimmie Johnson Involved in Caution

Jimmie Johnson had done a great job of staying on the lead lap up until lap 80 of Saturday night’s Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. However, at lap 80 — with the leader of the race breathing down their necks — Austin Dillon’s No. 3 car blew a tire going into the turn.

Johnson was directly behind Dillon and had nowhere to go but into Dillon and into the wall.

Dillon’s chance at victory has been all but ended, and Johnson’s night is being derailed as well. The seven-time champion went a lap down under caution making repairs and shortly after went down a second lap.
