Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is returning to the zMAX CARS Tour on Saturday, April 13, racing at New River All American Speedway in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

The race will be Earnhardt, Jr.’s third start in the CARS Tour, and his first outside of North Wilkesboro Speedway. He finished third in the 2022 CARS Tour event at North Wilkesboro.

Earnhardt, Jr. has also competed in Late Model Stock events at Florence Motor Speedway since stepping away from full-time NASCAR competition in 2017, as well as a handful of NASCAR Xfinity Series appearances. However, this will be his first trip to New River All American Speedway.

“I’m a huge fan of the CARS Tour and local short-track racing,” Earnhardt said in New River’s announcement. “The competition, the tracks, and the drivers are some of the best around. These regional series are vital to the quality of racing you see at the top level – it’s the heartbeat of motorsports in North America.”

The zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Cars will be in action at New River as part of a revamped Ronnie Hetu Memorial Weekend. The CARS Tour event was originally scheduled for March 23, but inclement weather postponed it to April 13.

The Ronnie Hetu Memorial Race Against Cancer on Friday, April 12 features Mini Stocks, Street Stocks, Rumblers and Bombers. There will also be practice for CARS Tour teams on Friday prior to the feature racing program.

The CARS Tour and Grand National Super Series headline the second day of racing on April 13 along with Legend Cars and Bandoleros, promising an exciting show for fans making the trip to Jacksonville, North Carolina.

Tickets, schedules, and other information about the Ronnie Hetu Memorial Weekend can be found at newriverspeedway.com/carstour.
