The ASA Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco and Show Me The Money Pro Late Model Series tackle Montgomery Motor Speedway for a Late Model doubleheader on Saturday, April 13.

Currently, 20 Super Late Model teams are entered for the Rumble by the River 125 at Montgomery.

After three races, Casey Roderick currently leads the Southern Super Series points standings. He also already has a win this season at Montgomery, taking the checkered flag in the Alabama 200.

Of course, he’ll have plenty of stout competition if he hopes to take another trophy from the Alabama half-mile. Three other entrants are former SSS winners at Montgomery – Matt Craig, Augie Grill and Bubba Pollard.

Pollard is a three-time Rumble by the River 125 winner, with his most recent victory coming in 2020. Pollard carries plenty of momentum into Montgomery, including a pair of SSS wins in SpeedFest and the Clyde Hart Memorial.

Matt Craig won the Rumble by the River in 2019. While the North Carolina driver is consistently among the front-runners, including a second-place points finish in 2023, he is seeking his first SSS win since the 2021 All American 400.

Augie Grill won the first two Southern Super Series races at Montgomery, both during the 2013 season. Saturday’s Rumble by the River 125 will be the 17th series race at Montgomery, one of the staple tracks on the series’ schedule.

The most recent race for the ASA Southern Super Series was the Sunshine State 200 at Five Flags Speedway, co-sanctioned with the ASA STARS National Tour. Cole Butcher won that event, giving him a 12-point lead in the ASA STARS standings. Butcher will also be part of Saturday’s field at Montgomery.
