Chase Briscoe continues to be a qualifying machine in the NASCAR Cup Series.
The Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) driver blasted to the pole position for the seventh time this season — and the ninth time in his NASCAR Cup Series career — with a stellar lap around the 1.5-mile facility.
Denny Hamlin will start Sunday’s 400-mile contest from the second position, with Hendrick Motorsports teammates Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott in third and fourth. Christopher Bell, a third teammate from JGR, rounded out the top five.
Carson Hocevar was the quickest driver not in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, and will roll off from sixth on Sunday. Bubba Wallace, Ty Gibbs, Ross Chastain, and Erik Jones completed the top-10.
Drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs that will start the Hollywood Casino 400 from outside the top-10 include William Byron (11th), Tyler Reddick (12th), Austin Cindric (26th), Joey Logano (35th), and Ryan Blaney (37th).
Blaney, who won last weekend’s event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, did not make a lap in qualifying on Saturday after a flat tire caused him to wreck in practice.
The Hollywood Casino 400 will take place Sunday, September 28 at 3:00 PM ET on USA Network. Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90 will carry radio coverage for the event.
