Josh Bilicki Stewart Friesen crash Sonoma
Josh Bilicki’s No. 30 truck with massive damage after a crash with Stewart Friesen with five laps left in Saturday’s truck race at Sonoma.

Thankfully, Josh Bilicki and Stewart Friesen were able to walk away after their trucks sustained substantial impacts in a crash with five laps remaining in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series DoorDash 250 at Sonoma Raceway.

Heading past the frontstretch, Bilicki received a tap from Friesen, which sent Bilicki straight into the portable concrete barrier wall.

Friesen’s truck, also out of control, followed into the barrier behind Bilicki and burst into flames. Lawless Alan and Alex Bowman were also involved in the intense crash.

Here is video of what happened:

The crash brought out the red flag so track safety workers could pick up debris, absorb liquids that were dropped on the racing surface and to repair the portable concrete barriers that were damaged.

Bilicki, who is set to run Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race in the No. 77 Spire Motorsports entry, was filling in for Colin Garrett, who was scheduled to run the No. 30 On Point Motorsports truck.

Garrett had taken a NASCAR mandated drug screen before competing this weekend, but the results had not been received in time for the race.
