That was probably uncalled for.
In the closing stages of Friday’s T-Sport 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park, John Hunter Nemechek was looking to take the lead and the victory away from David Gilliland Racing’s Taylor Gray.
However, when trying to take the lead back from the 17-year-old, Nemechek spun the No. 17 Ford F-150 out in turn three, triggering a caution and a subsequent NASCAR Overtime restart, in which Nemechek would lose the race.

Gray would only be able to rebound to a 22nd-place finish, much worse than the top-five finish he would have been guaranteed had he not been spun coming to the white flag. To say the David Gilliland Racing driver was upset about this, would be an understatement:
"I promise you he will not finish the race next week. I PROMISE you," says @TaylorGray17_ of @JHNemechek.
"10-4," responds the team, telling him to watch what he says here and that they will settle it post-race. #NASCAR | @RaceIRP
