After pacing NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series practice on Saturday, Ty Majeski and ThorSport Racing have had some issues getting the No. 98 Ford F-150 through pre-race inspection.

On Sunday, approximately 90 minutes before the start of time trials for the Clean Harbors 175 at The Milwaukee Mile, NASCAR confirmed that there was indeed a technical infraction found on the truck of the Seymour, Wisconsin native.

The confirmation of the infraction for Majeski comes after NASCAR elected to resume inspection of the No. 98 truck on Sunday, after it had failed pre-race inspection twice on Saturday, ensuring the loss of pit selection for the series’ next event at Kansas Speedway.

Joe Shear, Jr. – the crew chief of the No. 98 entry in the NASCAR Truck Series – has been ejected from the premises as a result of the technical violation. Additionally, NASCAR has confiscated a right-rear tire from the organization, which will not be replaced.

As if things weren’t already going to be difficult without his crew chief at the track, Majeski will have to start at the rear of the field for Sunday’s 175-lap contest and will have to serve a pass-through penalty on the initial start of the race.

Per NASCAR, any additional penalties will be announced throughout the week.

Entering the highly-anticipated return of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series to The Milwaukee Mile, Majeski is the only driver in the series post-season feeling safe, after winning the playoff opener at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

So far this season, his second full-time with ThorSport Racing, Majeski has accumulated another impressive stat line consisting of eight top-five and 12 top-10 finishes, which is accompanied by an average finish of 10.4.
