It’s been a really good week for Josh Berry. On Saturday, the driver of the No. 8 JR Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro won the Alsco Uniforms 302 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to secure his place in the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship 4 at Phoenix.

On Tuesday, Berry and JR Motorsports announced that he would be returning to the organization for the full 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule. And on Wednesday, Tire Pros, who have supported Berry since 2021, announced that they will return to JR Motorsports in 2023 to sponsor Berry for nine races.

For Berry, the partnership is more than just a sponsorship. It’s a major component to him being able to chase his dream of being a full-time driver in the NASCAR National Series ranks.

“Greg (Bell, Tire Pros president) and the team over at Tire Pros are a huge reason I’m able to drive in the Xfinity Series,” said Berry in a team release. “They took a chance on me in 2021 and for that, I am forever thankful. We had a great first year together and were able to follow that up by putting the Tire Pros Chevrolet into Victory Lane at Dover. I can’t wait to continue that success in 2023.”

While Berry is tickled pink to have his partnership continue with Tire Pros in 2023, the company is equally excited to run another year under the JR Motorsports banner with the driver that hails from Tennessee.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with JR Motorsports and Josh Berry for the 2023 season,” said Greg Bell, Tire Pros president. “Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kelley Earnhardt Miller and Josh have been great partners and we are looking forward to continuing the growth and success we’ve had together. We can’t wait for Josh to be competing in the Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway next month and look forward to cheering him on there, and throughout next year.”

Berry, who Dale Earnhardt Jr. discovered and befriended through virtual racing on the internet, had dominated on the local short track late model scene for several years helping JR Motorsports build their program in that discipline of racing.

In 2014, Earnhardt and Berry were able to make part-time starts happen for Berry in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and over five starts with JR Motorsports between 2014 and 2016, Berry was able to knock out two top-10 finishes.

He had the bug. When enough sponsorship was found to make it happen, Berry returned to JR Motorsports for a sizable schedule in 2021. And Berry ended up scoring not one, but two wins in a grand total of 22 starts.

This season, Berry’s first full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign, the driver has recorded three wins, 11 top-five finishes and 20 top-10s over the opening 30 races of the year.

Now, he’ll race for a championship at Phoenix Raceway in November and he’s set to return for 2023, and partners that took a chance on him are now signing on to return for more.
