JR Motorsports made a massive announcement in accordance with Bass Pro Shops on Tuesday.

The announcement took place outside of the entrance of the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World location at Concord Mills Mall, where Dale Earnhardt Jr., Josh Berry and Carson Kvapil were on hand to unveil cars and explain a new deal with the company.

Later this month, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will pilot a throwback No. 3 Bass Pro Shops late model in the event at Florence Motor Speedway. The scheme is the gold paint scheme that his father piloted in the 1998 NASCAR Cup Series All-Star race.

For Earnhardt, his family have been partners with Bass Pro Shops for decades. But he’s excited to finally be running the company’s logo on race cars himself after all of these years.

“We’re excited for Bass Pro Shops to continue their partnership with JR Motorsports,” said Earnhardt Jr. “We’ve had a lot of success together with Bass Pro Shops over the years, and that’s been a big part in seeing this partnership evolve. I can’t say enough about what it means to have Johnny and Bass Pro involved on so many levels with us. The JRM Bass Pro Chevrolets will be at a lot of different race tracks in 2023, and I can’t wait to be part of it.”

Bass Pro Shops will also be featured as the primary sponsor on Josh Berry’s No. 8 NASCAR Xfinity Series ride for 11 races in 2023, and Bass Pro Shops will allow Earnhardt Jr. to expand his own personal driving schedule to two NASCAR Xfinity Series races next season in the No. 88 entry.

Earnhardt will run an orange and black No. 88 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet in one event, he will run the Hellmann’s colors in his other scheduled start next season. Earnhardt did not reveal the two races that he will run in the Xfinity Series on Tuesday.

An additional facet to the partnership is that Bass Pro Shops will sponsor Carson Kvapil in 20 regional late model events across the Southeast next season.

As excited as JR Motorsports is about the expanded partnership, Johnny Morris is equally excited to bring attention to his Bass Pro Shops Club Card program with the partnership.

“We are very proud and excited to continue and expand our long-standing alliance with Dale Jr., his sister Kelley and the entire Earnhardt family at JR Motorsports,” Morris said. “This partnership celebrates our customers, and especially our CLUB Members, by recognizing the impact they have on conservation by being members of the program. We are uniting our customers and industry partners with leading conservation organizations to collectively help shape the future of the great outdoors and all who love it for generations to come.”

Bass Pro Shops is currently the sponsor for Noah Gragson and the No. 9 JR Motorsports race team, which are in the four-driver NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship battle this weekend at Phoenix Raceway.
