Dexter Stacey, who competed full-time in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series in 2022, will make his first appearance in NASCAR’s National Series since 2016, competing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series season-opener at Daytona.

Stacey, who contested a total of 25 NASCAR Xfinity Series events between 2011 and 2016, will compete in the No. 66 Chevrolet Camaro for MBM Motorsports, Carl Long confirmed to TobyChristie.com

A native of Kahnawake, Quebec, Stacey has a career-best finish of 21st in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, which came at Iowa Speedway in 2013. In his tenure in the second-tier series, Stacey secured seven top-25 results.

In 73 NASCAR Pinty’s Series starts, Stacey has recorded a pair of top-five results, including a career-best third-place finish, which he collected at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park this season. In six full-time seasons, Stacey has a best points finish of ninth, on two occasions.

While Stacey’s only confirmed event in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for 2023 is at Daytona International Speedway, Carl Long tells TobyChristie.com that the possibility of more races for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series regular does exist.

Timmy Hill, a long-time driver for Carl Long and a team owner in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, is expected to return to the No. 13 Toyota GR Supra for the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway, however, Long mentions that is subject to change.

In August 2022, Hill finished in the runner-up spot, behind Jeremy Clements, in the Wawa 250 at Daytona International Speedway, providing both himself and MBM Motorsports with the organization’s best finish ever.

Additional details surrounding sponsorship, personnel, and other details for both of MBM Motorsports’ NASCAR Xfinity Series entries are expected to be announced at a later date.
