After a decade on top of the pit box for Matt Crafton, Carl ‘Junior’ Joiner will not be returning to his role at ThorSport Racing in 2022, according to a report made by Vince Welch during FOX Sports’ broadcast of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season-finale at Phoenix Raceway.

Joiner started working with Crafton and ThorSport Racing at the beginning of the 2012 season, serving as an important piece in 13 of Crafton’s 15 victories in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, as well as the veteran drivers’ three championships.

Although there has been no official announcement from ThorSport Racing regarding Joiner’s departure, the crew chief confirmed the news to Davey Segal in Phoenix on Friday Night.
