Bayley Currey is set to extend a long-standing relationship with Niece Motorsports, joining the organization for Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the team announced Monday.

Currey, a native of Driftwood, Texas, will pilot the organization’s third entry, No. 41, at the newly-reconfigured 1.5-mile facility, with sponsorship from Worldwide Express and Unishippers on board his Chevrolet Silverado.

The 26-year-old driver has contested 15 NASCAR Truck Series events with Niece Motorsports since 2019, in various entries, scoring a career-best sixth-place result at Michigan International Speedway in 2019, piloting the No. 44.

Competing at Atlanta, Currey is poised to be the third competitor to pilot the team’s No. 41 Chevrolet Silverado in the season’s first three events. Travis Pastrana competed for the team at Daytona, while NASCAR Cup Series driver Ross Chastain ran the entry at Las Vegas.

Through the early stages of the season, Niece Motorsports has had an up-and-down season, with Lawless Alan failing to qualify at Daytona, and the organization’s other full-time driver, Carson Hocevar, scoring a pair of top-12 results to start the year.

Saturday’s Fr8 208 will mark the first time that Currey has competed on the newly-reconfigured superspeedway-like layout of Atlanta Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
