Anthony Alfredo’s Andy’s Frozen Custard Chevrolet Camaro ended up upside down at the exit of turn two in Saturday Night’s Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway in a scary accident with 28 laps remaining in the opening race of the “Round of 8” for the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The accident started on a late-race restart when Alfredo and Justin Allgaier [No. 7] ducked below the apron on the frontstretch to make a move on the No. 68 of Brandon Brown. Allgaier was unable to merge back onto the racetrack safely, sending Alfredo’s No. 21 careening into the outside wall incredibly hard.

Involved in the accident included Riley Herbst, Brandon Brown, Tommy Joe Martins. Brandon Jones also received minimal damage to his No. 19 Toyota Supra.

Photographer Daylon Barr captured the incident on camera while photographing the Kansas Lottery 300, posting these four images to Twitter after Alfredo exited his damaged Chevrolet:
