With the NASCAR Cup Series taking much of the Silly Season spotlight in recent weeks, moves are being made behind the scenes for the NASCAR Xfinity Series, with the latest coming from Team BJ McLeod Motorsports.

Stefan Parsons, who raced part-time with BJMM for the last three seasons, will finally enter full-time competition with the organization starting in 2022. The news was revealed via NASCAR Race Hub on Tuesday evening.

Notably, partner SOKAL will hop on board as a primary sponsor for the duration of the season, with Springrates also supporting the effort.

“I’m very happy to see the effort that Stefan has put in over the last couple of years transform into a full-time opportunity for him,” McLeod said in a media release. “We are very excited as a team to work hard and get him the best results possible.”

The North Carolina driver has seen steady growth in the last few seasons, with three top-20 finishes this season, including a 13th at Daytona in February.

“I’m extremely grateful to have the opportunity to drive for B.J. McLeod Motorsports again next year and full-time,” Parsons said. “We have built a ton of momentum over the last few years working together as a team, and there’s a really good foundation for a strong season next year off that alone.”

BJMM stated in a media release that further details of the 2022 season would be announced at a later date.
