Mike Harmon Racing – who statistically had the best season of their tenure in the NASCAR Xfinity Series — will continue to field two full-time cars in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, according to a report from Dustin Albino at Frontstretch.

“The plan is to run two cars; I’m not sure how the driving part is going to go,” Harmon tells Frontstretch. “We’ll see what happens. Bayley and Kyle are still going to drive; I’m not sure how much I will yet. Money dictates all of that.

“Bayley will be primarily in the [No.] 74 car, like he was this year.”

Between the team’s No. 47 and No. 74 entries, the team scored a total of 22 top-20 finishes this season, compared to the four top-20 finishes the team had in their first 253 NASCAR Xfinity Series races. At Kentucky Speedway, Kyle Weatherman earned the organization their first ever top-10 finish, placing eighth in the team’s No. 47 Chevrolet Camaro.

On Sunday, R.J. Starcevic – owner of the news page NASCAR Report on Instagram and co-host of the Drivers Meeting Podcast with Tommy Joe Martins — spoke to Currey earlier this week, who said that if the opportunity was presented, he would be interested in running full-time for Mike Harmon Racing in 2021.

Currey reaffirmed that same notion to Frontstretch.

Harmon also added that there could be certain races in which the team elects to field three cars, if the opportunity is available for the organization. In addition to Currey and Weatherman, Harmon lists Gray Gaulding and Joe Nemechek as potential candidates for a partial schedule with Mike Harmon Racing next season.
