Gray Gaulding and the No. 08 SS Green Light Racing team will head to Fontana, California with a new look on their Ford Mustang. North South Machinery will bring its blue and black branding to the race car as the primary sponsor for Saturday’s Production Alliance Group 300 at Auto Club Speedway.

This is the first time that the West Coast tool supplier has been involved in any NASCAR sponsorships.

“North South and NASCAR may be the most natural marriage I can imagine,” said North South Machinery President and CEO Jim Swartzbaugh. “Our business was built by supporting American Manufacturers in their quest to create and produce the highest quality and most innovative American products on the market today. There is a strong thread of both ingenuity and patriotism that runs deep in that pursuit for us and that’s exactly what NASCAR was built on as well.”

Gaulding, 25, is honored to bring North South Machinery to the world of NASCAR.

“I am so proud to be partnering with a company like North South Machinery and introduce them to our great sport and fans of NASCAR,” Gaulding said in a press release. “The team at North South Machinery are the kind of brand that inspires others like myself as they represent the true American dream of building high-quality products in order to help others be more successful.”

A native of Virginia, Gaulding is set to contest the full NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule for the first time since the 2019 season. The racer got his 2023 campaign started off on the right foot this past weekend at Daytona International Speedway with a 20th-place finish.

Gaulding has only competed at Auto Club Speedway one time in NASCAR Xfinity Series competition, a race that resulted in a 16th-place finish for SS Green Light Racing during the 2019 season.
