For the first time in more than two years, Jesse Iwuji is scheduled to return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The Carrollton, Texas-native will be competing in Saturday’s Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway, piloting the No. 91 Chevrolet entry for DGM Racing, the organization with which his team, Jesse Iwuji Motorosports, has a major alliance.

Iwuji first joined the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2020, running part-time for various teams across the back-half of the garage, including BJ McLeod Motorsports, MBM Motorsports, and Mike Harmon Racing.

The 37-year-old driver has recorded 17 total starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series throughout his four-year career, the latest of which came in last February’s season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway.

A patriotic red, white, and blue paint scheme will adorn the U.S. Naval Officer’s Chevrolet Accessories No. 91, alongside the American Veteran Center’s National Memorial Day Parade logo, to celebrate its 20th anniversary hosting the parade in Washington, D.C.

The National Memorial Day Parade, proudly featured on the door of Iwuji’s Chevrolet, pays tribute to the men and women who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice serving and protecting the United States.

As the largest Memorial Day event, it attracts 300,000 spectators annually, with more than 10,000 participants, consisting of veteran units and marching bands from across the country. For the 3rd time, Iwuji will participate in the prestigious parade and is planning to bring one of DGM x JIM’s NXS cars to Washington, D.C.

“The DGM x JIM team has excellent drivers whom I enjoy cheering on and learning from,” shared Iwuji, driver of the No. 91 Chevrolet. “I must admit, however, I’ve been looking forward to getting back behind the wheel, and I have stayed ready for when an opportunity would present itself. It’s amazing to get back at such a storied track like Talladega Superspeedway, where anything can happen. I’m beyond thankful for our partnership between Chevrolet and DGM x JIM, and all the other folks who have been amazing throughout this journey.”

“This weekend our goal is to take one more step forward with the program,” Iwuji continues. “It means the world to me to have Chevrolet Accessories on board as I make my first start with Mario Gosselin and the DGM x JIM team. Chevrolet has been with me almost every step of my racing career; their belief in me and their continued support is a great reminder of how hard I’ve worked for the opportunity to be back at the track and live out my racing dreams. I can’t thank my team and partners enough for pushing me to the next steps.”

Lincoln Electric and the eRacing Association will both be featured as associate sponsors on the No. 91 Chevrolet Accessories Chevrolet when Iwuji makes his return to competition in the second-tier series.

While Lincoln Electric’s equipment plays a vital role in the preparation of the organization’s NASCAR Xfinity Series entries, eRacing Association is crucial to Iwuji’s training process and preparation for events.

“We’re really looking forward to Jesse’s debut with DGM x JIM at Talladega Superspeedway,” Mario Gosselin, Owner of DGM Racing, states. “Joining forces with Jesse Iwuji Motorsports and working with Jesse has been a seamless fit for our organization. Thanks to the support from great partners like Chevrolet Accessories and Lincoln Electric, we’re proud to bring this special patriotic car design to the track and join Jesse in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington D.C. Jesse’s service and commitment to our country is inspiring and it’s humbling to join him in honoring and remembering our fallen troops.”

The NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Talladega Superspeedway is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 26 at 4:00 PM ET. Coverage of the event will be on The CW, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
