UPDATE 12:25PM ET: According to a team representative at Joe Gibbs Racing, the team still has sponsorship from iK9 and that the team and sponsor are working on finalizing the driver lineup for the remainder of the 2019 season for those races.

“We still have iK9 as a part of JGR, we are still working through the details for the races that would have been Jeffrey’s,” said the representative. “So we should have some updates soon, at least this afternoon for the upcoming weekend. I, personally don’t have a lot”

It has been a rumor since the iK9 logos were stripped off of the Joe Gibbs Racing haulers back at Daytona in July, and then later reapplied, but iK9 and development driver Jeffrey Earnhardt have officially gone their separate ways.

Earnhardt tweeted the news on Wednesday.

No word what this means for Earnhardt and his future with JGR/Toyota, but it doesn’t look good unless another sponsor comes along.
