John Hunter Nemechek led a race-high 65 laps and scored the victory in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Cabo Wabo 250 at Michigan despite being involved in an early crash.

Following the race, Nemechek’s race-winning No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Supra SR passed post-race inspection. As a result, NASCAR declared Nemechek and his Joe Gibbs Racing team the official winners of the race.

This latest triumph marks the fifth win of the 2023 season for the 26-year-old racer. Nemechek now has seven wins throughout his career in the NASCAR Xfinity Series ranks.

No issues were detected in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following Saturday’s race are now considered official.

Josh Berry is officially credited as the runner-up finish of the Cabo Wabo 250, while Brandon Jones, Ty Gibbs, and Sam Mayer rounded out the top-five finishers.
