Framingham, Massachusetts native CJ McLaughlin is set to attempt the NASCAR Xfinity Series season-opener at Daytona International Speedway in February, driving for a new organization.

McLaughlin, who has competed sporadically in the second-tier series since 2019, will get behind the wheel of the No. 92 Chevrolet, a third entry for Florida-based DGM Racing.

Main Street Auto, who partnered with McLaughlin in his three NASCAR Xfinity Series starts with SS-GreenLight Racing last season, will return as the primary sponsor of the effort. The company is an auto service and repair shop headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.

Since being founded in 2021, Main Street Auto has demonstrated rapid growth, expanding to nearly 100 stores across the southeast.

“I’m excited to be back at Daytona with DGM Racing and proud to have Main Street Auto on board for this race,” McLaughlin shared. “The DGM Racing team are true racers, and it already feels like home working with them. With a great race team and great sponsors behind me, I’m looking forward to getting on track and making the most of this opportunity at such a special place.”

McLaughlin’s debut with DGM Racing will mark his fifth attempt at Daytona International Speedway, with his best finish being a 19th-place result. Between 45 starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and five starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, McLaughlin has accumulated 50 starts in NASCAR’s National Series.

DGM Racing will field three NASCAR Xfinity Series entries in the season-opening event on February 15, with Ryan Ellis in the No. 71 Classic Collision Chevrolet, Josh Bilicki in the No. 91 Rita’s Italian Ice Chevrolet, and CJ McLaughlin in the No. 92 Main Street Auto Chevrolet.

The team’s three entries will take to the racetrack on Friday, February 14 for practice at 4:30 PM ET. Qualifying will take place the following afternoon, Saturday, February 15, at 10:00 AM ET.

The United Rentals 300 will take place on Saturday, February 15 at 5:00 PM ET. This season, all NASCAR Xfinity Series events will be broadcast on The CW.
