On Wednesday, JR Motorsports announced the addition of Carolina Carports as a three-race primary sponsorship partner for Sam Mayer and the organization’s No. 1 team for the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

“Carolina Carports is pleased to announce our new partnership with the JRM team,” said Herrera, Carolina Carports owner and CEO. “With over 25 years leading in the metal building industry, we’ve consistently provided top-quality materials throughout our seven division locations. Teaming up with one of the great names in racing is a testament to our commitment to excellence. We look forward to the positive impact this partnership will bring to both industries.”

Carolina Carports will adorn the No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro in the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway on February 17, and will return for the events at Texas Motor Speedway on April 13 and Bristol Motor Speedway on September 20.

THe Dobson, NC-based company aligned perfectly with JR Motorsports as both organizations are family-owned businesses.

“Carolina Carports is a family business much like our own,” said JR Motorsports CEO Kelley Earnhardt Miller. “Meeting Adela (Herrera) and her team, it’s clear she has built her company on quality and excellence, and that makes Carolina Carports a great fit for Sam and the No. 1 team.”

In addition to the three-race primary sponsorship schedule, the company will serve as an associate sponsor for the remaining 30 races on the NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule.

Mayer, 20, had a breakout season last year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series ranks. The 20-year-old scored four victories and locked his place in the Championship 4 at Phoenix, where he ultimately finished third in the championship standings.

The Franklin, WI native will look to take home the championship this year.
