They say that everything is bigger in Texas, and apparently that includes the crashes as well, as a multi-car pileup has taken many fast cars out of the running for a victory in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Texas.

Leader Ryan Blaney got loose under Penske teammate Brad Keselowski, causing a stack up of the drivers and cars chasing the Penske duo on the restart, meaning multiple cars piled up in the lap 219 incident.

Contact from Kurt Busch sent Aric Almirola into Kyle Busch, sending the 18 through the grass and Busch’s Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Martin Truex, Jr. into the outside wall hard.

Cole Custer, Ryan Preece, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., Kyle Busch, Martin Truex, Jr., Chris Buescher and WIlliam Byron were involved in the stage three accident.

Cole Custer, Ryan Preece and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. were unable to continue and would be relegated to poor finishes Sunday at Texas. Shockingly the 19 was able to continue in the event, multiple laps down.
