Kyle Busch’s signature victory celebration involves a checkered flag and a bow to the crowd, sometimes met with roaring cheers and other times met with a… different, more unpleasant response. Busch has been doing this celebration for years and has done it numerous times, as Busch has over 200 wins across NASCAR’s National Series.

Tuesday Night’s “North Carolina Education Lottery 200” at Charlotte Motor Speedway saw Chase Elliott’s No. 24 iRacing Chevrolet Silverado outrun Busch’s No. 51 Toyota Tundra, a challenge that many did not see coming. In exchange, Elliott secured the “bounty”, winning $100,000 for beating Busch- who had been to victory lane in his last seven NASCAR Truck Series starts. That $100,000 would be donated to a charity of Elliott’s choice for COVID-19 relief efforts.

Upon arrival at the start-finish line, Elliott got out of his race truck and performed Busch’s signature bow, in a “ode” to the Las Vegas-native, who he held off to win his third NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series victory.  The two drivers have had some recent bad blood, after Chase Elliott was sent spinning on the last green flag lap of last Wednesday’s race at Darlington, after contact from Kyle Busch. The contact resulted in Chase Elliott “congratulating Busch on being #1”.

When asked about Elliott’s post-race bow by FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass, Busch responded with “Imitation is the strongest form of flattery…….. that’s cute.”

Elliott was able to hold off the 35-year old to claim his third career NGROTS win at Charlotte Motor Speedway, also collecting the $100,000 “Bounty” put forward by Marcus Lemonis and Kevin Harvick, which was offered months ago to the first full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver who could beat Busch in a NGROTS Event.
