Chander Smith’s tough string of races has continued tonight at I-44 Speedway, as the 18-year-old was sent spinning into turn one by the No. 4 of Hailie Deegan. This was the first incident of the evening, and the first of three that involved Deegan’s No. 4.

Both Deegan and Smith would be able to continue in the race, but Smith’s No. 20 would have to come down pit road to assess the damage on the Venturini Motorsports Toyota.
