Dillon’s fastest lap was an eye-popping 203.592 mph tour around the 2.5-mile speedway in Florida.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who moved from Roush Fenway Racing’s No. 17 car to JTG Daugherty’s No. 47 in the offseason, was second fastest in the session.

Denny Hamlin, Erik Jones and Martin Truex Jr. were third through fifth.

Daniel Suarez was the highest on the speed chart of the drivers who need to work their way into the Great American Race by way of speed or performance in the Duels. Suarez was eighth in the No. 96 Gaunt Brothers Racing Toyota.

This session was supposed to be most all single-car runs in an effort to prepare for Sunday’s qualifying session for next Sunday’s race, but most teams ended up forming into drafts to test out their cars in traffic.
