Tate Fogleman narrowly beat out Tyler Hill (yes, you read that correctly) in Saturday Afternoon’s Chevrolet Silverado 250, capturing his first career victory in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and the second for Young’s Motorsports, which fields Fogleman’s No. 12 Chevrolet Silverado.
Fogleman sat on the end of the top-five coming to the white flag but was able to take advantage of the bottom lane dying out, in order to put himself in a position to capture the ultimate triumph. After Nemechek was moved by race leader Todd Gilliland, Fogleman started to scramble and switch lanes to find an opening.
Exiting the tri-oval, Nemechek and Fogleman made contact, spinning the Kyle Busch Motorsports entry and allowing Tyler Hill’s No. 56 to close on the inside. The Young’s Motorsports driver made it to the line first, by 0.052 seconds, but made contact with Hill after crossing the line, which sent both trucks into the inside wall.
Here is a video of the race’s final lap, which also included a big accident in turns three and four:
