Hailie Deegan Dean Thompson Richmond altercation Dean Thompson confronts hailie deegan video Richmond highlights
Dean Thompson spoke to Hailie Deegan on pit road after Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Richmond. Deegan spun Thompson earlier in the race, which derailed his night.

It’s been a season filled with bad luck for both ThorSport Racing’s Hailie Deegan and TRICON Garage’s Dean Thompson. On Saturday night in the Worldwide Express 250 at Richmond Raceway, Deegan found Thompson on the track.

The two made contact, which sent Thompson spinning out on Lap 111.

As Thompson struggled to a 25th-place finish on the night after the spin, Deegan rallied and at points ran inside the top-10 before ultimately settling for a 15th-place finish.

After the race, Thompson flipped the script from the race, and this time he found Deegan on pit road. The two drivers appeared to get into a heated discussion about the on-track incident, and based on radio communication from Thompson, probably another incident between the two from earlier in the season.

Here is a video from Bob Pockrass of Deegan and Thompson talking it out on pit road:

Both Thompson and Deegan were on the outside looking in for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs, and both desperately needed a win in Saturday’s race at Richmond in order to advance.

Neither got the win, both will not be included in the Playoffs.
