After making a pair of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts last season, Vicente Salas has been tapped by Alpha Prime Racing to run a limited schedule in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The Temecula, California-native will run select events in the No. 45 Chevrolet, fielded by the three-car organization co-owned by Caesar Bacarella and Tommy Joe Martins.

While no debut event was confirmed by Alpha Prime Racing, Salas disclosed in an interview with Race Face Digital that he will attempt to make his Xfinity Series debut at Rockingham Speedway on April 19.

The 22-year-old driver competed in a pair of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events last season, debuting at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in the No. 20 with Young’s Motorsports, and later following that up with a start in the No. 91 for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.

Salas managed to notch a career-best 25th-place result at WWT Raceway, finishing three laps down after being involved in a late-race incident.

In addition to his real-world NASCAR experience, which saw him climb from Late Models to Trucks and now into the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Salas has been competing full-time in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series since 2021.

This season, Salas will race full-time with Kanaan eSports, which is managed and run by NTT IndyCar Series legend Tony Kanaan.

Salas joins a growing list of drivers who have been confirmed to compete in Alpha Prime Racing’s multi-driver entry in 2025, which includes Mason Massey, Brad Perez, and Caesar Bacarella.

Parker Retzlaff (No. 4) and Brennan Poole (No. 44) are scheduled to compete full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Alpha Prime Racing in 2025.
