*Editor’s Note: Attempts to reach Niece Motorsports about whether Majeski is set for a one-off race, or if he will be back in Homestead, as well as whether he is still part of the Ford Racing Developmental Program have gone unanswered at the time of this story. If an answers are given, this story will be updated accordingly.

Ty Majeski is one of the most talented prospects in the sport today, but he has been the odd man out this year in the Ford camp — as he has been a Ford development driver.

However, this weekend, Majeski will get a shot in a Chevrolet.

He will drive the No. 44 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors struck Series race at ISM Raceway in Phoenix.

The team made the announcement through a tweet on Monday.

Majeski, a Wisconsin native, has three wins in six ARCA Menards Series starts this season. He is also an elite late model driver as well.

It is unconfirmed at this time whether this means that Majeski has left his Ford allegiance, but with Niece Motorsports’ lead driver Ross Chastain heading to Kaulig Racing to run the NASCAR Xfinity Series full-time next season there will be an open door in the championship-caliber No. 45 seat.

Could that seat be Majeski’s?

That may depend on how he runs this weekend at Phoenix.
