Todd Bodine appears to be nearing a return behind the wheel in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for six races in 2022.

On September 18th, Camping World and Good Sam CEO Marcus Lemonis threw down a challenge to Bodine and his fan base on Twitter.

If 800 people could tweet with the hashtag #goodsamOnion, Lemonis was prepared to provide a six-race sponsorship deal for Bodine to get the two-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion to 800-career NASCAR National Series starts.

On October 1st, Lemonis followed up on the challenge with the exciting news that the goal had been met and exceeded.

What six races will the 57-year old driver run in 2022? And what team will he drive for? That all remains to be seen, but Lemonis has proven in the past that he isn’t bashful about sponsoring trucks in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

So, expect Bodine, a New York-native, to reach the 800-career starts mark next season.

Bodine, who has made 220 NCWTS starts, is a 22-time winner in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Bodine last raced in the NASCAR Truck Series back in the 2013 season. That year, Bodine ran seven races for ThorSport Racing in the No. 13 truck and one race for Steve Turner in the No. 30 truck.

In all, Bodine has amassed 37-career victories in the NASCAR National Series ranks.

  1. GO TEAM Onion!
Fully believe Todd can get several of the 6 starts in the top 5 and at least 1 shot of a WIN. Depends on the tracks picked.
Would also like to see him drive inat least 1 if not the entire year in the SRX series along with Kenny Schrader, Dave Marcus, Jimmy Spenser and a few other, but NOT Mickey Waltrip or Paul Tracey again.
