Sheldon Creed faces a must-win situation in this weekend’s Corrigan Oil 200 at Michigan International Speedway.

If Creed hopes to win his way into the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Playoffs, he will have to do so without his crew chief Jeff Stankiewicz, Truck Chief Austin Pollack and engineer Jonathan Stewart.

The three crew members have been suspended for the next three NGOTS races for a ballast weight coming loose from their truck during practice at Eldora Speedway last week.

The team will not appeal the penalty and they have named an interim crew chief for Creed.

Darren Fraley has been announced as the man who will call the shots for the No. 2 team this week in Michigan.

It has been a disappointing season for the 2018 ARCA Menards Series champion, but he was riding the high of the first top-five finish of the season (a runner-up effort at Eldora).
