Taylor Gray to Continue in Truck Series with TRICON Garage in 2024

TRICON Garage will be hanging onto Taylor Gray, a multi-time winner in the ARCA Menards Series, as part of its roster for the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series campaign, the team announced Friday.

Gray will return to the helm of the No. 17 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in 2024, the entry in which he took over on a full-time basis upon turning 18 years old in March – missing out on the opening three events of the year.

In spite of that, the 18-year-old driver finished 15th in NASCAR Truck Series point standings this past season. That has been made possible by a rookie campaign consisting of three top-five and six top-10 finishes.

“The opportunity to continue to grow with TRICON and Toyota is not one that I take for granted,” said Gray. “I am excited to tackle my first complete Truck season and continue developing into a weekly contender. I am ready to hit the ground running and am prepared to win races in 2024.”

Gray, a native of Denver, North Carolina, is the grandson of Johnny Gray, a prominent businessman and partial owner of TRICON Garage — alongside David Gilliland and industry veteran Kevin Ray.

Much like his older brother, Tanner, Taylor has been racing with TRICON Garage – formerly known as David Gilliland Racing – throughout the entirety of his career, racking up victories for the team in various divisions of the ARCA Menards Series.

Additional details on personnel and sponsorship for the No. 17 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro will be announced at a later date, as well as the remainder of the 2024 NASCAR Truck Series driver lineup for TRICON Garage.
