What a rough break for Spencer Boyd in opening NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series practice for Friday’s Jegs 200 at Dover International Speedway.

As Boyd and his No. 20 Young’s Motorsports team were shaking their truck down, Boyd experienced a tire that went down as he was coming out of turn four. Boyd’s truck slammed the outside wall and pancaked the right side. As a result, the team will pull out their backup truck to continue for the weekend.

Boyd was excited earlier this week as he had unveiled his brand new sponsorship with DLX Mattress, which is on board the No. 20 machine this weekend.

After five races in the 2019 NGOTS season, Boyd sits 12th in the point standings and has a best finish of fourth, which came in the season-opening event at Daytona.
