A couple of weeks ago, Ross Chastain opted to swap running for the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship to running for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series championship. The decision looks to be paying off after Sunday’s M&M’s 200 at Iowa Speedway. Chastain won Stage 1 and 2 and then capped things off by winning the race as well giving the driver of the No. 44 TruNorth Silverado maximum points.

Now, it looks like a foregone conclusion that Chastain will be a part of the Truck Series Playoffs.

2018 Series Champion Brett Moffitt finished second, Ben Rhodes, Harrison Burton and Grant Enfinger rounded out the top-five finishers.

Chastain took home a $50,000 bonus for winning the second leg of the Triple Truck Challenge. Greg Biffle won the bonus a week ago in Texas. Chastain will have a chance at another $50,000 bonus next week, and if he wins that race he will receive an additional $50,000 bonus for multiple Triple Truck Challenge wins. In all, Chastain could win a grand total of $150,000.
