NASCAR handed out indefinite suspensions to drivers Chris Hacker and Jason White as well as Joel Courage for recent arrests.

On Thursday, NASCAR issued its weekly penalty report. While there were no on-track infractions following the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course and Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park race weekend, three industry members have been suspended in the wake of recent arrests.

Chris Hacker, who competed in last weekend’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series TSport 200 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, has been officially suspended for violating section 4.4 D of the NASCAR Rule Book (being charged with or convicted of significant criminal violations).

Hacker, 23, was arrested on Tuesday, August 15th at approximately 12:30 AM ET by the Huntersville Police Department in Huntersville, North Carolina. Hacker, who will face court on September 19th, was charged with Driving While Impaired (DWI), Speeding, Reckless Driving to Endanger, and Failure to Wear a Seat Belt. Hacker also had his driver’s license revoked for 30 days.

Jason White, who competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway, has been officially suspended for violating section 4.4 D of the NASCAR Rule Book (being charged with or convicted of significant criminal violations) as well as section 2.14 A, which requires any NASCAR Member charged with any violation of the law (misdemeanor and/or felony) to notify the sanctioning body prior to the next scheduled event or within 72 hours of being charged, whichever is earlier.

White, 44, was arrested at 5:42 PM ET on Thursday, August 3rd by the Huntersville Police Department in Huntersville, North Carolina. White, who has a court date set for September 6th, has been charged with Driving While Impaired (DWI), Speeding, Reckless Driving to Endanger, and Exceeding Safe Speed.

NASCAR has also handed out an indefinite suspension to Joel Courage for violating section 4.4 D of the NASCAR Rule Book (being charged with or convicted of significant criminal violations).

Courage, a registered sex offender, was arrested on multiple charges. According to WXII12.com, Courage had been operating E33 Motorsports LLC, which is a business that helps grow and develop young drivers working their way up the NASCAR ladder.

The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office Sex Registration Unit arrested Courage on August 9th, and Courage has been charged with seven counts of Failure to Register, Falsification of Verification Notice, and Failure to Return Verification Form.

Courage will face court on September 14th.
