McAnally-Hilgemann Racing (MHR) has renewed its partnership with Instacoat Premium Products (IPP) for a multi-race agreement in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2024. In doing so, the organization has also added 2022 NASCAR Truck Series champion Zane Smith to its driver lineup for a multi-race campaign.

The 24-year-old driver has spent the last four seasons in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, but was promoted to the NASCAR Cup Series for 2024 after signing a multi-year driver agreement with Trackhouse Racing — landing him in the Trackhouse-aligned No. 71 for Spire Motorsports.

However, Smith will return for a part-time schedule in the NASCAR Truck Series, joining forces with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing to run a four-race campaign in the No. 91 Chevrolet Silverado, starting with the third race of the season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (March 1).

“I’m super pumped to partner up with Bill McAnally and the MHR team for a handful of NCTS races this season,” Smith said. “It is going to be fun to race to win and not have to necessarily worry about racing for points.”

Instacoat Premium Products will sponsor the Huntington Beach, California-native’s entry at Las Vegas, in addition to events at Bristol Motor Speedway (March 16) and Kansas Speedway (April 5). The company will also sponsor Christian Eckes, driver of the No. 19 Chevrolet, at North Wilkesboro (May 18) and Richmond (August 10). Smith will also run the NASCAR Truck Series event at Texas.

“Having Zane is a huge boost for our team and will be a great benefit to Jack Wood and the entire No. 91 team,” team owner Bill McAnally said. “Zane and Christian have been teammates before earlier in their careers also and he’ll be a great asset to all four teams. We couldn’t do this without the incredible relationship we’ve built with the Instacoat Premium Products team and their enthusiasm for our program.”

Smith will serve as co-pilot of the No. 91 Chevrolet Silverado, working alongside crew chief Kevin Bellicourt and anchor driver Jack Wood, who will compete in 14 races for the organization in 2024.

IPP launched in the late 1990s following years of perfecting the liquid rubber technology. With the determination to produce a superior liquid rubber product line, IPP assembled a very knowledgeable professional team to perfect the existing technology. With the continued development of new products and improvements of their current product line, IPP continues to grow and lead the competition.
