Mason Maggio – a 17-year-old Pro Late Model driver at Franklin County Speedway and Goodyear All American Speedway — will get the opportunity to make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut in Saturday’s Toyota 200 from World Wide Technology Raceway.
The Palm Beach Gardens, Florida-native competed in Limited Late Model competition at Hickory Motor Speedway last season, netting four victories, before moving to Pro Late Model competition in 2022.
Maggio will compete in the No. 33 HMY Yacht Sales Chevrolet Silverado for Reaume Brothers Racing in the 11th event of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.
“I am beyond excited to be making my NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut,” said Maggio. “During my time with Leicht Motorsports at Hickory in 2021, along with E33 Motorsports and Rick Ware Racing in 2022, the success that stemmed from 2021 has only progressed into 2022, leading me to an amazing opportunity with Reaume Brothers Racing.”
At the time of publishing, Maggio is one of two drivers that will attempt to make their NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at World Wide Technology Raceway, joining Jake Garcia, who will drive a third entry for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.
“Looking back throughout my career, I never would have imagined I would be making my NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut in 2022,” Maggio continued. “It’s still crazy hearing myself say it. I am excited to not only make the team proud, but my fans and partners as well.”
Josh Reaume, owner of Reaume Brothers Racing, is confident that Maggio’s ability behind the wheel at short tracks across the Southeast will turn into a positive result at World Wide Technology Raceway.
