Kris Wright Joins TRICON Garage for Truck Races at Texas, Pocono

Kris Wright is set to make his return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this season, joining forces with race-winning organization TRICON Garage to contest a pair of events in the organization’s No. 1 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro.

The 29-year-old racer is currently competing full-time in the ARCA Menards Series for Toyota-supported organization Venturini Motorsports, a jump made during the off-season in hopes of chasing the series’ championship.

Wright will make his return to the NASCAR Truck Series at Texas Motor Speedway on April 12, before returning to the entry three months later, at his home track of Pocono Raceway on July 12. Long-time supporter FNB Corporation will sponsor the TRICON Garage entry in both races.

“I’m very excited and feel fortunate to have the opportunity to drive for one of the top-tier NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams, paired with Toyota Racing,” said Wright. “I’m looking forward to hitting the track with TRICON and seeing what we can accomplish together.”

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Wright has significant experience in both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, making a combined 61 starts across the two series since 2020. Wright also has previous experience in the ARCA Menards Series, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and IMSA Prototype Challenge.

Throughout his time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Wright has amassed 45 career starts, posting a career-best result of 12th on two occasions, one of which came at the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway in 2023, while driving the No. 02 for Young’s Motorsports.

After a pair of ARCA Menards Series events this season, Wright currently sits 19th-place in series point standings, with a season-high result of 12th-place in the series’ second event of the year at Phoenix Raceway, driving the No. 15 Toyota Camry for Venturini Motorsports.

Wright joins a jam-packed driver lineup for TRICON Garage and the No. 1 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in 2024, one that includes Toni Breidinger, Christopher Bell, Colby Howard, Jack Hawksworth, and William Sawalich, and will include Brenden Queen at North Wilkesboro.
