Post-race technical inspection following Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Fr8 208 at Atlanta Motor Speedway has been completed. Kyle Busch’s race-winning No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado has passed post-race tech.

As a result, NASCAR has officially declared Busch and his team the official winners of the race. This marks Busch’s 65th career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory.

Layne Riggs, and the No. 38 Front Row Motorsports Ford F-150 team have been disqualified from the race for violating section 14.4.10.1.G of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series rule book. That section states that the windshield fasteners must remain tight for the duration of the race.

With the DQ, Riggs will be credited with a last-place finish instead of the 24th position he was credited with initially.

NASCAR has also taken the dislodged roof from the No. 41 Niece Motorsports truck back to the NASCAR R&D Center for further evaluation. NASCAR will meet with Niece Motorsports later next week to go over the findings.

No other issues were detected in post-race inspection, and as a result, the race results and standings following the race are now considered official.
