Video: Thad Moffitt, Jake Garcia Bring Out Third Caution at Atlanta

A promising run for Thad Moffitt took a major hit in stage 2 of the Craftsman Truck Series race at Atlanta. On lap 50, Moffitt, who was running inside the top 10, moved up the track and made contract with the no. 13 truck driven by Jake Garcia.

Moffitt brushed the outside wall before coming back down the track and making secondary contact with Garcia and the no. 38 truck driven by Layne Riggs.

To add insult to injury for Riggs, he was held for two laps due to too many of his crew members working on his truck while under the damaged vehicle policy (DVP).

For all three drivers involved, it marks the second straight race that they have been involved in an accident prior to the halfway point of the race. Moffitt, Garcia, and Riggs were all collected in a crash on lap six in the season-opening race at Daytona, with all three retiring from the race due to damage sustained in it.
