Christian Eckes scored a thrilling win in a wild finish of Friday night’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Kansas Lottery 200 at Kansas Speedway. The driver of the No. 19 McAnally-Hilgemann Racing Chevrolet Silverado outdueled Zane Smith, and Corey Heim on the final restart to take his third win of the 2023 season.
The win was made official, as NASCAR confirmed Eckes, and the No. 19 team as the official winners of the race following post-race inspection. Eckes now has four NASCAR Truck Series wins over the course of his 87-race career.
Eckes is one of eight drivers who have advanced to the Round of 8 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs. There were no major issues detected in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following Friday night’s race are now considered official.
The only infraction found in post-race tech was an unsecured lug nut on Spencer Boyd’s No. 12 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado, which will result in a monetary fine for the crew chief.
Taylor Gray, Matt DiBenedetto, Corey Heim, and Zane Smith rounded out the official top-five finishers in the race.
The eight drivers advancing to the Round of 8 in the Playoffs are Corey Heim, Christian Eckes, Grant Enfinger, Carson Hocevar, Zane Smith, Ty Majeski, Ben Rhodes, and Nick Sanchez.
