Cory Roper and the No. 04 Roper Racing team have been a fun story to watch this year in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. Despite being a small underfunded organization, the team has had speed and ran near the front in several races. Unfortunately, the dream of competing full-time — for 2019 — has come to an end as the team has announced via instagram that they will not be in Dover this weekend.

@RoperRacingTeam IG: “To our Roper Racing Fans, due to lack of sponsorship we are having to scale back to a part time schedule. Our next race will be Charlotte and Texas but we are still actively searching for more partners to continue the rest of the season. We are starting to build relationships with partners for 2020 so that we can compete for the entire race season. Thank you for your continued support,
Cory Roper”

Roper, who was on the preliminary entry list for the Jegs 200 at Dover, and his organization will regroup in an effort to run the full campaign in 2020.
