Conner Jones is set to make a return to Niece Motorsports for a partial schedule in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series next season, the organization confirmed on Monday.

The 19-year-old driver will run a limited number of events behind the wheel of the No. 42 Chevrolet Silverado RST, returning to Niece Motorsports after a five-race stint with the race-winning organization in 2025.

Jones will be sharing the driver’s seat of the entry with multiple different drivers, including Tyler Reif, who was announced on November 19 as the anchor driver of the No. 42 Chevrolet. The remainder of the entry’s driver lineup will be announced at a later date.

“I’m thrilled to continue this journey with Niece Motorsports,” said Jones. “I’ve been able to learn so much already this year, getting to work with the crew chiefs on both the No. 44 and 41 teams, and I’m looking forward to continuing that behind the wheel of the No. 42. We had a lot of speed each time we unloaded this year, but just didn’t have a whole lot go our way. I’m confident that we’ll be able to put everything together next year and make the most of it.”

A native of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Jones has made a total of 27 career starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, dating back to a part-time effort with ThorSport Racing in 2023, at just 17 years old.

Jones is a multi-time race-winner in the zMAX CARS Late Model Stock Car Tour with his family-owned team, and has had some solid runs in the NASCAR Truck Series, including a career-best 11th-place result at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May 2024, driving for ThorSport Racing.

In his part-time effort with Niece Motorsports last season, Jones recorded a best finish of 18th at Bristol Motor Speedway.

“Conner really did a good job in the races he ran for us this year, and I’ve enjoyed seeing the improvement he’s made with his race craft,” said Cody Efaw, President and CEO of Niece Motorsports. “There were a few times that he performed as our best-running truck out there, and I think he has been pretty overlooked. As he continues to gain experience, I think he will have a good shot at succeeding next year.”

Sponsorship announcements for the No. 42 Chevrolet Silverado RST, as well as personnel assignments and the remainder of the entry’s 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series lineup, will be announced at a later date.

The 2026 NASCAR Truck Series campaign begins at Daytona International Speedway on Friday, February 13. Coverage of the event will be on FOX Sports 1.
