NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team, CMI Motorsports, has finally arrived at Knoxville Raceway, after suffering a breakdown en-route to the half-mile dirt track, team owner Ray Ciccarelli tells TobyChristie.com.

“Unfortunately, had a fuel line that goes in the head of the engine pull out and was losing fuel,” Ciccarelli told TobyChristie.com. “It took a few hours to find the right person to fix it. Extremely happy to make it though, was worried it was going to be much worse.”

As a result of the breakdown, the organization’s No. 49 entry, scheduled to be driven by Andrew Gordon, was unable to record a single lap in the series’ only practice session in advance of Friday Night’s inaugural Corn Belt 150, which equates to 70 minutes of lost track time, available to make adjustments on the teams setup for the event. However, Ciccarelli wasn’t terribly worried about the loss of on-track time, citing the speed the team showed at Bristol, as well as singing high praises of his driver.

“I’m not worried about missing practice, Andrew is a wheelman on dirt, he will adapt quickly in the heat race,” Ciccarelli continued. “We had good speed at Bristol (Dirt) and expect the same here.”
