After scoring back-to-back top-10 finishes for the first-time this season, Chandler Smith and team are looking to continue that strong momentum into a playof berth, leading the one and only practice session for Friday Night’s Inaugural Rackley Roofing 200 at Nashville Superspeedway.

The second-year driver put up a flying lap in the final minutes of Friday Morning’s practice session, laying down a lap time of 29.649 | 161.489mph, which sits only four hundredths off of the track record at the 1.33-mile facility.

William Byron – in a one-off race for Rackley W.A.R. — laid down the second fastest lap of the session, while Tyler Ankrum, Grant Enfinger and Chase Purdy rounded out the top-five speeds in the 50-minute session. Austin Hill, Tanner Gray, Zane Smith, Matt Crafton and Sheldon Creed rounded out the top-10.

Chase Purdy – driving the No.23 for GMS Racing — logged a total of 33 laps in the session, while Josh Reaume – driving the No. 33 for Reaume Brothers Racing — was the only driver to log less than 10 laps.

Trey Hutchens III (No. 14), JJ Yeley (No. 49), Jennifer Jo Cobb (No. 10), Josh Reaume (No. 33), Spencer Boyd (No. 20), Keith McGee (No. 3) and Lawless Alan (No. 34) would be the seven drivers who fail to qualify for Friday’s Rackley Rooing 200 if practice speeds translated to qualifying, this afternoon.
