It will be a homecoming of sorts for Tommy Joe Martins in 2020.

The 33-year old driver will return to his family’s Martins Motorsports team, which will experience a rebirth in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Martins revealed this news on Twitter on Christmas Eve.

The team will run the No. 44 — their old NASCAR Truck Series number — and they will race Chevrolet Camaros for the full schedule.

While, Martins will run the early portion of the season, he says his plan is to run part-time for the organization in an effort to prove it is a competitive team to attract other drivers, sponsors and team members.

Sponsorship will be provided in Martins’ starts by Diamond Gusset Jeans.
