On Wednesday Evening, Jerry Pits Racing announced that Takuma Koga would join the organization’s ARCA Menards Series West program in 2021.

The 43-year-old will pilot the No. 7 JPR CKB Toyota Camry full-time in the ARCA West Series in 2021, joining Jesse Love, Cole Moore and Bridget Burgess as the series’ four confirmed full-season entrants.

“We’re excited to have Takuma team up with us for the upcoming season,” said team owner Jerry Pitts. “I have known Takuma for a number of years and have watched him improve not only in the standings but with his driving abilities. I think this is going to be a very good fit for both sides, and we are looking forward to having Takuma join JPR next season.”

Throughout a 10-season tenure in the ARCA Menards Series West, the Nagoya, Japan-native has collected a single top-five finish, recording a fifth-place finish at Orange Show Speedway in May 2017.

“I’m pleased to be with [Jerry Pitts Racing] next year in the JPR CKB Toyota,” said Koga. “They have had a great history with several amazing past drivers. It will be an honor and challenge to be part of JPR, but I’m looking forward to working with this team for the 2021 season.”

Last season, Koga ran the full ARCA Menards Series West schedule in the No. 77 Toyota Camry owned by Joe Nava, finishing seventh-place in final points after collecting six top-10s in 11 starts.
