Paul Menard will make his triumphant return to NASCAR this weekend at Circuit of the Americas in a fifth ThorSport Racing No. 66 entry. According to a press release from the team, Menard will carry sponsorship from Mattei on the Toyota Tundra.

“I appreciate Duke and Rhonda giving me this opportunity to get back into a truck, while working with Bud Haefele again,” said Menard in the team release. “COTA is a new track for the series and one that I have never been to before, so we’ll all be on relatively equal footing. I’ll have 50 minutes to learn the track and knock the rust off and am certainly looking forward to the challenge of trying to add my name to the list of winners in all three national series.”

Menard, 40, last competed in the NASCAR National Series ranks in 2019, when he was a full-time NASCAR Cup Series competitor. As far as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Menard hasn’t competed in the series since 2007.

Menard has scored wins in the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series over the course of his career. The Wisconsin-native will attempt to complete the career trifecta by scoring a win in NCWTS competition as well.
