Video: Michael Annett Playing Through Pain, Walking With Cane in Hopes of Keeping Playoff Berth Alive

How important are the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs?

For Michael Annett, it’s important enough to hobble gingerly to his race car on Saturday as he continues to work back to full-strength following surgery to correct a stress fracture in his right femur.

Annett was spotted limping heavily while utilizing a walking cane on his way to his car on the grid.

Not only is Annett walking with a cane, but it is a cane designed to look like a hockey stick:

Despite missing the last two NASCAR Xfinity Series races, Annett still sits 11th in the championship driver standings and looks to work his way into the Playoffs for the fourth time in the last five seasons.

However, if your JR Motorsports, you have to be holding your breath when you see your driver limping to his car before entering the race at one of the fastest and most treacherous road courses on the schedule at Watkins Glen International.
