Frankfort, Ohio-native Austin Hill (no relation to Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Hill) will partner with Joey Gase Motorsports to compete in three NASCAR Xfinity Series events this season, the driver announced on Tuesday.

Hill will attempt to make his debut in the second-tier series at Watkins Glen International (August 8), with additional attempts planned for Portland International Raceway (August 30), and Charlotte Motor Speedway’s ROVAL (October 4).

Should the 18-year-old driver qualify for his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Watkins Glen International, Austin Hill, and Austin Hill will become only the second pair of drivers with the same name to compete in the same NASCAR National Series event.

In 2024, Hill was crowned Vice Champion of the SCCA Hoosier Super Tour LTL, collecting three wins, 11 podiums, and 13 top-five finishes, as well as a pair of pole positions and fastest laps.

Hill is also a three-time champion (2021, 2022, and 2023) of the Atlanta Championship Series, and at 14 years old, became the youngest driver to ever stand on the podium at the SCCA National Runoffs, as well as the youngest to be on the podium at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

In January, Hill confirmed via social media that he had signed with Joey Gase Motorsports to compete in select road course events in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season.

Additional details, including sponsorship and car number for Hill’s starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season will be announced at a later date.
